Day One - July 23

We have arrived! It has been an exhausting but good day that ended with communion and our opening worship service for the trip. Tomorrow we will be joining the local community in worship, spending some time at the beach, and then leading some kids through some games and a movie tomorrow night. So proud of how this group has handled a busy day of travel!

Hey everyone it’s Spencer bringing you the first edition of the 2016 Gloria Dei mission trip blog. Today was a day mostly filled with travel on the plane, which went seamless! After we landed we trekked through the freeways of San Diego in order to get to our lunch destination, In-N-Out. I get the hype surrounding it, but to me it was equal to Five Guys. After lunch, we went to where we will be staying for the next week. We met our leaders for the week and did a couple of games to get to know why we’re here and to get to know the area. I can’t wait for the beach tomorrow, and VBS throughout the week. God Bless!
